Our SAI Team

Members of Strategic Alignment Inc. are seasoned consultants who have worked in the field of strategy definition and deployment, performance improvement, organization design, managing complex organizational change, implementing innovation, organization effectiveness, process consultation and senior leadership team development.

All have worked inside organizations prior to moving externally. In addition we have all held management roles inside organizations. Each of us has worked externally for at least 10 years as successful organization development consultants. Each of us has a minimum of 15 years in working with clients to achieve their strategic objectives. All of us also have advanced academic degrees in fields that enable us to add more value to our client interventions.

Financial services, pharmaceutical, chemical, food and beverage, advertising, telecommunications, automotive, high tech, medical and health care, and charities are some of the industries in which we have worked. Marketing, sales, call centres, manufacturing, engineering, information technology, operations, research and development, finance and human resources are functions where we have facilitated clients to achieve their business results. We have also consulted internationally.

Mark Towers

Mark Towers, Ph.D. is the founder and Managing Director of Strategic Alignment Inc.

Mark has nearly two decades of consulting experience including assignments as a Senior Consultant with University Associates.

His consulting has focused on working with senior leaders to set and implement strategic direction while concurrently developing the leaders into a high performing team. Primary emphasis has been on engaging large areas of the organization to align their activities to support strategy.

He has also focused on process improvement and management having set up and managed that department in the world's leading pharmaceutical company.

His doctoral dissertation on Corporate Culture focused on the relationship between shared values and job satisfaction with the Bank of America. He received a doctorate in clinical & organizational psychology in 1987 from the Professional School for Psychological Studies in San Diego, California.


Andrew Spanyi

Andrew Spanyi, is the founder and Managing Director of Spanyi International Inc.

Andrew has nearly two decades of consulting experience including assignments as a Principal of the Rummler-Brache Group, and a Practice Manager with Kepner-Tregoe Inc.

His management experience includes assignments with SCONA as a senior Vice President and with Xerox Learning Systems (also known as Learning International) as a Director of Marketing and Business Development.

He has managed over 100 major performance improvement projects and has taken part in the development of dozens of sales and management training programs.

Andrew's areas of practice leadership include:
  • Process Management
  • Change Management
  • Performance Measurement
He is regularly asked to speak at conferences and has published articles with magazines such as Industrial Engineer, Contingency Planning and Management, Wireless Review, Plant Magazine, Purchasing and Canadian Plastics.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics), and earned his MBA (Marketing/Finance) from York University, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
